Like its neighbours, this home was built on speculation by the Bell Brothers in 1895. The design possesses several similarities to its neighbours, including an Italianate style, detailed chimney, and a display window adorned with transom lights. The roof is trimmed with bargeboard, brackets, and flared wide eaves. The exterior also sports ornamental, lunette, and stained glass windows. The home saw many residents come and go throughout its history, with most staying only a few years.   In the 1940s and ‘50s especially, the home was occupied by several boarders at a time.
