The Classic Revival-style home at 716 12th Street was built in 1906. It was originally owned by carpenter Cecil Twiss, before being sold to Samuel H. Holt in 1909. Holt was a farmer and lived at this address until it was sold to another farmer, Frederick Turnbull, around 1915. The two-storey residence is sheltered by a gable roof with hipped dormers and a decorative gable. The windows are finished with side lights, decorative surrounds, and palladian detailing. The design also boasts an enclosed porch and decorative shingle belt.
