This unique Bungalow-style home was originally owned by James A. Glover. Glover worked as a clerk for the business Dowling & Creelman. He died in 1938, leaving the house to his wife, Dorothy, who resided at 559 12th Street until her own death in 1954.

The home is noted for its style and craftsmanship. The steeply pitched roof with a large hipped dormer serves as the design’s most prominent feature. Other details include a detailing chimney, pent extension, and sturdy brick porch supported by brick columns. The home is adorned with a decorative brick belt as well as decorative voussoirs above the windows.
