This large two-storey home originally belonged to William N. Finlay. From 1907 to 1910, Finlay served as principal of the Brandon Collegiate Institute. He lived at 448 6th Street until 1914. The home’s longest-staying tenant was CNR engineman Albert J. Scott. He and his wife, Vera, lived at the home from 1947 to 1984. The home is designed with a gable roof, moulded trim, and segmental windows. The main entrance is located in a corner, sheltered by a small pent extension.
