The 1 ½ storey workers cottage that used to stand at 454 8th Street was built in 1904. The design offered such details as a decorative gable, pilasters, and double hung windows. The gable roof was trimmed with heavy bargeboard and moulding detail. The home’s open verandah was intricately detailed with columns, brackets, and carvings. As a workers cottage, the home saw many owners come and go throughout its history. The home has been recently demolished.
