The Gingerbread-style bungalow at 450 22nd Street was built in 1933. The 1 ½ storey structure features a gable roof and detailed brick chimney. The enclosed porch is decorated with a decorative gable and a low, curved wall with brick detailing. On the exterior wall of the porch sits a window with an arched brick surround. Also encased within the surround is a landscape painting. Henry Hyson, a teacher at Alexandra School, was the first owner of the home.
