This Queen Anne-style home originally belonged to Henry E. Henderson. Henderson arrived in Brandon in 1883, and it was not long before he established law firm Henderson & Matheson with partner R.M. Matheson. Henderson also served as city solicitor for twenty-nine years. He and his family lived at 442 11th St. until his death in 1927.

Like other Queen Anne-style homes, the design of this structure emphasizes both roof and window detailing. The pyramidal roof, broken up by hipped dormers, is trimmed with flared wide eaves, moulding, and a pent extension. The windows are decorated with decorative sills and voussoirs. Bevelled glass and palladian windows add a touch of elegance to the home. The design also features an enclosed porch and a second-storey balcony.
