This two-storey Queen Anne-style residence was constructed in 1905 for Brandon Daily Sun printer and foreman Edgar V. Bullock. Bullock only lived in the home for a short time before selling it to insurance agent G.E. Knechtel. Another noteworthy resident of the home is Dr. Henry Oliver McDiarmid, who moved to the address in 1913. McDiarmid was an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist who set up his medical practice in Brandon in 1909. He also served on city council. The home was converted into suites in 1939.

The gable roof is decorated with flared wide eaves, a decorative gable, moulding, friezes, and a pent extension. The sweeping verandah, a typical characteristic of the Queen Anne style, is supported by columns complete with column plinths. The home also offers decorative details such as a shingle belt, pediment, palladian windows, and side lights.
