Built in 1931, this home was originally owned by Mr. John A. Young. Young worked as a buyer for A.E. McKenzie Co. Ltd., and was eventually promoted to become the company’s manager. In 1941, the home was acquired by Dr. Harold Evans, a local physician and surgeon. He and his wife, Mary, lived here for over fifteen years.

The large home is beautifully designed with a prominent tower adorned with a structural overhang and double-hung windows.  The gable-shaped roof is complimented by a brick chimney and both hip-shaped and wall dormers. Adding to the home’s pleasing aesthetic are cube and display windows embellished with transom lights and decorative surrounds.
