This Gingerbread-style home was constructed in 1928. The home also contains decorative elements reminiscent of the Tudor style, such as steeply pitched gable roof, layered decorative gables, and a massive detailed chimney. The design also offers such details as an enclosed porch, a balcony, and windows with decorative surrounds. Detailed brickwork features prominently in the design, adorning the front door, front steps, foundation, and chimney. The first owner of 349 22nd Street was Walter V. Brown, manager of Canada Brown Steel Tank Co. Ltd. Other owners include Joseph W. Kempston, RCMP commanding officer; Frederick N. Fry, president of the Continental Auto Supply Co.; and physician Dr. John A. Findlay.
