The rapidly growing Brandon Daily Sun newspaper relocated to 24-10th Street after outgrowing its 8th Street offices. In 1905, Joseph B. Whitehead, a major Sun stockholder who would gain full control of the paper in 1911, secured a permit for the new building. The newspaper was being published from this location by 1906. The Sun is as old as Brandon itself; the first issue went to print on January 19, 1882.

This brick structure features simple Italianate characteristics such as brick corbelling and windows with decorative sills and voussoirs. The newspaper operated from this location until it moved to its current Rosser Avenue office.
