This 1½ storey structure is a traditional Gingerbread style home. Its light wood frame sits on top of a brick foundation and underneath a hip shaped roof. The decorative brick belt exterior and bargeboard trim on the roof give this home a definitive look. An enclosed porch and separate balcony on the second floor allow for a cozy space during all seasons of the year. The home was built by a brick layer named Alfred Sheather for his family, who came to Brandon from Toronto in 1890. The house was then occupied by the Pope family for almost 60 years.
