This Italianate-style home was built in 1899. The design features Italianate characteristics such as a truncated roof, flared wide eaves, and segmental windows. The home is also decorated with gable-shaped dormers and an enclosed verandah. The earliest known owner of the home (if not the original) was Henry W. Speers. Speers was employed as the chief clerk of the Land Titles Office. He lived at the address until 1919.
