This Bungalow-style home was built in 1912 for Mr. Whitby N. Kerr. Kerr was a lawyer and a partner in the firm Coldwell, Coleman & Kerr. He lived at the address until 1923, when he moved back to his family home at 258 12th Street. In 1927, the home was sold to Dr. A.R. Hurst. Hurst, a dentist, lived here for over thirty years.

The design features a gable roof with gable-shaped and wall dormers and flared wide eaves. The roof is adorned with brackets, exposed beams and rafters, and moulding detail.  The porch is decorated with sturdy brick columns and a pediment.
