The large Classic Revival-style home at 150 15th Street was built by prominent contractor James McClement. The design features a truncated roof with gable and hip-shaped dormers. The exterior also offers a structural overhang, a decorative shingle belt, and decorative voussoirs. The first owner of the home was John A.P. Clarke, who worked as a brewmaster at the Empire Brewing Co. Ltd. Some of the home’s other owners include George F. Doig of department store Doig & Robertson, and William Mathieson, proprietor of Model Works Repair Co. From 1933 until the 1960s, the home belonged to John William Ernest Parker, foreman of C.W. Harrison and, later, an undertaker.
