This 1 ½ storey workers cottage was built in 1888. The design offers such details as a gable roof, enclosed porch, and structural overhang. The exterior is decorated with both display and double-hung windows. From 1911 to 1933, the home was owned by Mrs. Lavinia Morris. It was then sold to Robert Johnston, who had already been renting rooms in the home for a number of years. Johnston was an engineer employed with the CPR. He resided at the address with his wife Annie and son Robert Jr. for over twenty years.
