Designed by W.H. Shillinglaw, this Spanish-style home was constructed in 1898 for William and Jacob Zink. The brothers owned and operated Zink Bros., a popular shoe store. In 1902, the new Zink Block was designed as the store’s new home. Jacob Zink lived at 534 Louise Avenue until 1911; William Zink remained at 536 Louise Avenue until 1913. The home is designed with a truncated roof and false façade. The roof exhibits gable-shaped dormers and moulding detail. The exterior is decorated with corbelling and an open porch.
