The City of Brandon offers several programs that promote heritage conservation or inform the public about local heritage.

The Municipal Heritage Incentive Program encourages owners of Municipal Heritage Sites to preserve, restore or rehabilitate buildings or properties that have significant heritage value by providing a property tax exemption.

The Municipal Heritage Site Plaque Program provides a plaque to identify a Municipal Heritage Site in Brandon.

Doors Open Brandon is an annual event allowing the public to view sites that have historical significance. Since 2016, we added functionally significant sites as their functions have historical significance.
