This Bungalow-style home was built in 1909 for Alexander B. Fleming. Fleming was the son of Dr. Alexander Fleming, Brandon’s first physician. He was employed as the manager of the Canadian Coal and Commission Company. Fleming resided at the address until his death in 1920.

Designed by architect George Richards, the home features a shed roof, enclosed porch, and enclosed verandah. In typical Bungalow fashion, the roof is elaborately trimmed with brackets, bargeboard, wide eaves, and exposed rafters. The home also offers such details as columns, decorative panels, and half-timbering. Display, oriel, and double-hung windows are adorned with elements including side lights and decorative surrounds.
