Designed in the Queen Anne style by architect W.J. Lang, this home was built in 1905. The two-storey house sports a hipped roof trimmed with a decorative gable, moulding, and dentils. Exterior details include a detailed chimney, pilasters, and an open porch supported by columns. The home is adorned with beautiful ornamental windows featuring bevelled glass, stained glass, and transom lights.

The home’s earliest tenant was Mr. James Carrick of Carrick & Hadaker. The Carrick & Hadaker partnership offered their services as blacksmiths and carriage builders. In 1911, the home was sold to William B. Beer, a teacher at the Brandon Collegiate Institute. The home remained in the Beer family until 1985; after Beer’s death in 1934, the home was passed to his son, William Murray Beer.
