38-42 1st Street

This Art Moderne-style building was constructed in 1946. The design is a simple one with a long rectangular shape, flat roof, and double-hung windows. 38 1^st Street was originally occupied by Ormond Campbell, a mechanic employed at the Prairie Refrigeration Co.  George Baker, mechanic and owner of Baker Refrigeration, lived at 42 1^st Street.
