This 2 ½ storey home was constructed in 1906. Designed in the Classic Revival style, the home features an enclosed porch and canted bay windows. The gable roof is embellished with a decorative gable, brackets, wide eaves, and moulding. The exterior is further accented by a pendant, ornamental windows, and stained glass windows. The house was built for Andrew Edward Rea, owner of grain dealing establishment Rea & Co. Rea died in 1926, leaving the home to his wife, Irene, who would remain at the home for another three years. In 1933, Andrew Edward Jr. returned to his late father’s home. He was employed as a trainman at the CPR, and resided at his childhood home for over twenty years.
