This large Classic Revival-style home was built in 1906 and originally served as a boarding house. Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts ran the boarding house at 252 11th Street for nearly thirty years. In 1935, the home was purchased by former tenant Charles Hill. The two-storey home has a gable pyramidal roof trimmed with brackets, bargeboard, flared wide eaves, moulding, and a pent extension. The exterior also features a decorative shingle belt. The windows offer a touch of elegance with details such as shutters, side lights, transom lights, and stained glass.
