Built in 1914, this handsome Italianate structure was originally home to the Brandon Grocery Co. Ltd. The store operated here until 1926 when the building was purchased by Western Grocers Co., which was previously located one block over on 11th Street. The building features a decorative cornice as well as decorative moulding trimming the roof as well as the first-storey windows and entrance. The roof peaks at a projecting cornice and pediment on either side. Further adding to the symmetrical design are the rows of windows embellished with decorative voussoirs, moulding detail, and transom lights. Decorative brickwork and brick panels are also featured in the design.
