This two-storey Queen Anne-style home was constructed in 1907. It was first acquired by George Smiley of George Smiley & Sons, a real estate firm which dealt not only with the buying and selling of farm land and city property, but also with the renting of houses. Although the house changed ownership frequently throughout its history, the fact that it was always rented out to other tenants remained the same. The gabled hip roof features bargeboard trim and a pent extension. Palladian windows with decorative surrounds lie under the gable-shaped dormers, while the rest of the design exhibits display and double-hung windows. The exterior sports an open porch. There used to be an enclosed second-storey porch, but it has recently been removed.
