The small brick cottage at 328 10th Street is a classic example of a worker’s cottage. Its simple design offers modest details such as a detailed chimney, flared wide eaves, moulding, and a pent extension. The double-hung windows are accompanied by decorative sills and voussoirs.

Since its construction in 1899, the cottage has been home to many working-class Brandonites and their families. Included among them are grocery clerk John McDowell; Club Barber Shop proprietor Thomas Bergeron; and Alexander L. Campbell of A.L. Campbell Construction.
